Lions - Six Nations 2025 Auditions

This doesn't mean he's been playing badly though?

Kinghorn makes headlines as he's been good, but Scotland chuck it about a lot and he's a big part of that game plan
Keenan was probably the only Irish player to match up / outplay his opposite number last week too, was genuinely class. Had the big moments over Kinghorn in Edinburgh too I thought, the try that put it to bed was his call and chase that exposed Kinghorn being out of position.

I'd say Kinghorn is edging it (although moving him to wing to accomodate makes a lot of sense to me) but he'll also likely be joining the squad late so it could sway things in Keenan's favour.

Russell has his faults but who gets picked before him.
Yeah FH is definitely an area of concern for Farrell I'd imagine. There's no one head and shoulders above the rest. Russell should get it based on experience, but you'd still be worried what kind of performance he might put in.

To a point, I agree. However, I'm still ok with Russell being first choice, it's the form from those behind him that would have me thinking.
Prendergast could be brilliant but had a nightmare against France.
Marcus Smith is played out of position too often in my opinion but he's a great option to have.
Fin Smith deserves a place. I think he's tried and tested and will only get better.

I await the incoming with my tin hat on :D

Very true, it will be down to what Farrell can get out of him. I don't think him and Townsend are particularly close but that's to be expected as they are both fly halves and the room isn't big enough for both their heads
