Well he's been ridiculed in the press and rightly so, an absolute clown for the calls he made but were he in charge of the Lions what bizarre selections would we see in his test side to take on his homeland.
15. Paul O'Connell - solid in the lineout, you can only assume then he'd be solid under the high ball as well.
14. Ryan Jones - plenty of pace and strength for the wing.
13. John Hayes - huge tackler and ball carrier, what more can you ask for
12. Andrew Sheridan - need some English and combinations are key in this game
11. David Wallace - pace but again need consistency of selection
10. Jerry Flannery - if he can control the lineout, no reason why he can't control the overall game as long as he controls his temper
9. Martyn Williams - well if it works with Bergamasco, why not with the nugget?
1. Ronan O'Gara - who else would you want to front up against the SA scrum
2. Chris Paterson - the most accurate placekicker from inside the 10m line, should be able to get the darts right as well.
3. Stephen Jones - again consistent selection is crucial.
4. Shane Williams - his size would completely throw off the SA lineout
5. Rob Kearney - again take the opposite with O'Connell, these positions are surely interchangeable
6. Lee Byrne - dynamic ball carrier, has all the makings of a great openside
7. Brian O'Driscoll - we always hear that he plays like an extra backrow so here's your chance.
8. Mike Phillips - should be Ellis but we have to please Speedy now don't we???
