Leinstertainment.... Pro14 Round 5

Lets hope that altitude was the explanation for that second half - although altitude didn't seem to effect Zebre or Leinster. Tandy entering shoogley peg zone, but there is no point giving him the bullet unless they have a successor lined up. Pivac and the Scarlets were even worse at the start of last season and ended up winning.

Do we think the 5pm kickoff local time was for South African TV?

Definitely not, 5pm on a Friday has never been a thing in South Africa. I think the Pro14 just wanted a Friday double header for some reason... Or didn't want two games going on at once (actually the likely answer). The Cheetahs definitely couldn't play tomorrow since there are already two games taking place on that field, so they had to make the game on Friday, and for some reason they already had a game set for Friday night and held it there? Really not sure.

There is probably a reasonable explanation. The fixtures were only announced less than 2 months ago so its likely they didn't have much choice. If Currie Cup is on tonight then I'd say TV wanted an early kick off and the saturday slots were already filled.

Another good win for the Cheetahs. It looks like they won't lose many matches at home.

The Bok game is at that stadium tomorrow so it's likely a one time thing, would have been interesting had this game been a dress rehearsal for the Bok one!

Is embra 13 an 7's player the guy looks very dangerous ball in hand.

Jamie Johnston, aye. Cockerill made some amusing remarks a few weeks ago about wanting the 7s players and saying what is the point of the 7s circuit if it isn't also a route to the XVs. So he's got another one to try out.

I'm watching a decent Scarlets match and recording the Edinburgh one, so if Edinburgh have already secured the BP please flag that up as a spoiler. :p

5th head injury replacement for Scarlets in two games. Connacht doing pretty good. I still think they are a fair bit better than last year (but miles off 2015).

Steff Evans showing all sorts of elusiveness. If he is still behind Cuthbert in the national side pecking order in November it is criminal.

Haha, Patchell ran back and kicked a conversion about 7 seconds after scoring a potentially dubious score. Owens just ignored him and insisted on seeing the TMO. Patchell missed, try is given and Halfpenny makes the conversion. All a bit confusing.

Connacht vs Scarlets a belter. Connacht much improved up front and starting to take over. Commentator said they were effectively out of it at 27mins, they were only down by 9 points!

Will the last person watching the Leinster game instead of Connacht turn the lights out?

SO... when will the Scarlets rip out half the stands and get a stadium that fits their meagre crowd?
