Leicester have confirmed the signings of prop Kieran Brookes, lock Graham Kitchener and scrum-half Micky Young.

Not a bad trio of signings, to be fair

Will lose the three of them to the Saxons a couple of times a year, but strength in depth n all that jazz

Glad to have it official. Kitchener and Brookes are probably in for Deacon and White's retirement, not sure on Young's purpose.

all these signings have been known since about January
not sure why Leicester need another lock
they already have Deacon, Parling, Skivington, Mafi and Slater, all of whom did well last season
is one of them moving on?
not sure why they need Brookes also, unless he's been signed purely for this season because Castro and Cole will be at the RWC.
anyway Brookes got minced by Tonga'uiha and Mujati at scrum time for Newcastle, so is he good in the loose?

Thought White was doing one more year?

Thought Parling's had injury problems. Slater's not all that. Skivington hasn't set the world on fire.

Also, one bad scrum against Tiny and Mujati doesn't make you a bad scrummager. I mean, duh.

Also worth noting that Brookes wasn't on the pitch at that scrum,
Aviva site says that Brookes was playing loosehead that match, and got subbed off for no.17, who is playing loosehead in that scrum

You can then see him coming back onto the pitch after that scrum, replacing the tighthead....
