James O'Connor dumped by Rebels

The guy certainly has talent but i suspect he's been hanging around Beale and Quade to much and picked up their dodgy attitudes.

The thing is Larkham started as a fullback just like O' Conner and ended up one of the great tens. O' Conner has the ability (probably more than larkham) but not the attitude of a guy like Larkham thats for sure. End of the day its upto him to take the opportunity and he clearly has not done that.... pretty tough on the guy being thrown into a real big series like the lions with the Wallabies really not having anywhere near the depth or starting players to be a great side.

I would even go as far as to say that Wallabies team is riddled with guys with a poor attitude. Genia as great as he is i feel does not handles himself very well with other players in the team and feel he comes across as a bit of a cock at times handles himself o.k in the media and stuff but a few things iv seen on field you'd never see someone like Mccaw or Carter do (he's no Gregan). When the leadership of the team is like that the rest of the team probably suffers to.

Nonu is a bit of shocker at super15 but at international level you cant take much away from him he's been pretty crazy consistent for us really.

Maybe the Blues should be Chasing O'connor? Theres something really from left field!! Would suck if they devolped him well and then he started playing good for the wallabies though.

Whoah, whoah - the TRFies nominations for worst grammar have already been decided my friend.

Don't know if I agree he has anywhere near the potential as Larkham at 10. O'Connor has a great step, great speed - an alright kicking and defensive game - but I don't think he has the vision to be a great 10 which Larkham, Carter and Mehrtens all were gifted. To me he looks like he tries hard to set a gap for himself and then think about the next guy he can pass to if the gap opens. You really need a 10 who can take the ball to the line and then pick one of several options where the space has opened, and I've not seen that from either of O'Connor or Beale to be honest.

JOC dose have good vison but not the vison of a 10 the stuff he can do in open play against a broken defense is pretty impressive but at 10 he dosen't have the time to make the right decision, which is why I think 12 or 14 are his best spot as he will have more time and space

 Taking lessons from this lady, perhaps:

;)

Regarding JOC...

When he first started he was a great little player. But I agree with comments here - he's moved around too much and hasn't been able to develop well in one position. How's the saying go? Jack of all trades, master of none? That is the danger I see here. I thought that maybe in a couple years he could be a great 10, but needs to stay in that position so he can develop his skills. And it appears he also needs to grow up and take the game more seriously. I think he was such a bright star so young that ego just got in the way and he's more concerned about the perks that come along with being a top athlete and not so much about what it takes to stay a top athlete.

Why would a struggling franchise let a star player go has not been asked?
The **** he brings causes more harm that his talents for the franchise

Go choose a club in EU JOC or go and become a great flanker in Japan

 + vid

I love that, I think the thing around her neck was cutting off the blood circulation to her walnut.

re: JOC and beale

I think the ARU needs to step in and send Beale to the Force and JOC to the tahs. basically put them on opposite sides of the country.

We don't want him.
Did anyone see his post game interview where he goes "I can look myself in the mirror and say I did all I could" via text this can be taken a number of ways but on the tv there was an air of arrogance as if he did his job it was the other guys who didn't perform.
Sort of reminds me of his last season here when he displayed lots of hands on hips and sulking if he didn't get the ball or if he stuffed up but it was someone elses fault.
The backline ended up becoming the pass the ball to judas and stand back and hope for something special. Much like the Rebels the backline performed much better and actually won games when he was absent. Funny that.

To say O'Connor as only 'sprt pf' arrogant, to me, is like saying Genia is only 'kind of a good player'. :p
