Ireland v Scotland

This has been a good game of rugby for a neutral...

Scotland penalty... 2 mins to go!!!

Right. Well we deserved that. Crap performance. Terrible lineout. Whereto now Mr. Kidney?

Scotland win!

Really enjoyed that match, well deserved win for Scotland, they put everything into that, and definately deserved at least one win for their efforts during the 6N (England match not included :p )

Great Game of Rugby...

Well done Scotland... they deserved that fully, read the Irish game well...

Fantastic game for a neutral. Bloody well done Scotland who fought Ireland to a standstill and threw back everything Ireland hurled at them.

May I just say on the Healey - Murray battle at Scrum time, not once during the first half did I see the Irishman bind properly with Murray. Kaplan being very liberal with his interpretation at the scrum.

Delighted Scotland because the Scots didn't deserve the wooden spoon, Ireland were **** and they get what they deserve,

We need to replace D'Arcy and Kearney was ****. Somebody should have had the balls to take Rory Best off.

Yasss! Nice to see Scotland get what they deserve.

(and yep, they fully deserved to beat Wales)

Well done Scotland! Hopefully the Irish media hype machine will stop fooling this nation into thinking we're a force in world rugby. Not without a scrum, a misfiring lineout and an inability to turn over ball.

we needed leo and the relplcement hooker can't think of his name, scotland derseved to win they were better for most of the game mostly the 1st half we came back a little in the 2nd but not enouf. sexton needs to like kick that has been costful (is that a word?). if we play like that in NZ/AUS we will be shat on.

A thoroughly deserved Scotland win :bravo:

They won the scrum, lineout, kicking and breakdown battles which is a recipe for success against anyone. Andy Robinson has them going slowly in the right direction. Declan Kidney didn't cover himself in glory by failing to make move to improve the scrum and lineout - why were't Cronin and especially Cullen brought on?

Oh well, at least I won't have to cheer on England against France now!

france for GS too bad i can't change my perdictions i put england by a point. scotland ddin't deserve the wooden spoon no one did. so what place are Ireland going to come now?

Murray motm - dominant all day, and when Healy took a crack at him in the last ten minutes as Ireland were beginning to motor, he beat him twice. Ireland should have cruised to the end, but lost all their field position because of that. Good to see the scrum so important this season.

Strange misjudgments by Ireland. Too loose too early. Gave away a crappy try. Kearney's brainfart for last score. And the strangest was the confusion over ROG and Sexton replacement. Sexton is not good enough because he's missing too many goals. His running and close passing is excellent, but I think ROG's distribution is snappier with better tactical understanding.

Fair dues to Scotland. Played it smart. Bit more flair and they'll be an interesting team.

I am dead. Ireland lost to F*CKING SCOTLAND and I had a stroke and f***ing DIED! CHEERS IRELAND!

Yes Scotland were better, so deal with it D'arcy... Assuming you've risen from the grave.

A well deserved win for Scotland, and not before time. Should have beaten Wales (if not for Lee Byrne diving maybe), really could've beaten Italy had they shown the desire, and should have beaten England had they shown some invention. I believe this is a competitve Scotland team which over the next year will come into its own with experience of working and playing together under Robinson.

What is annoying is that I had a ticket for today's game in my hand , but had to turn it down due to having to work this weekend. I had to rely on the old Sky+ instead. I'll be kicking myself over that one for a long time.

Lads on way back from Croker and in some ways I happy result happened as it saves us from getting cocky.

I made comment few months ago in thread (Parks signing for Cardiff) and glad i did that Parks can be World Class even at wrong side of 30.
He has shown in this championship that he is a class act.
Scotland showed what they threatened to show all season and that was the ruthlessness in them.
They deserved victory by a mile and Andy Robinson must be applauded for work he is doing there.

As for Ireland, What have we learnt:
Sexton (after 3 starts) has a long way to go to be at O'Gara's level and beyond.
Healy and Hayes are struggling massively.
Our scrum is getting worst.
Earls and Bowe were our best players in 1st halk yet Keith got 1 touch of ball in 2nd half and Bowe not many more ????
Line-out was a joke and despite constant bad throwing we kept going long (only used the jumper at 2 once)
Is Leo Cullen and Sean Cronin decorations..... DOC and Paulie weren't bad but Cullen is a specialist in lineout and we needed that.
Cronin may have little experience but Best had a nightmare so how would his introduction have made things worst????
Ferris hasn't hit the peaks he had last year.
Kearney was extremely poor and Geordan Murphy is now by far our best 15 and.
And King D'Arcy will hate me for this but I think D'Arcy is in decline now and it may be time for change with maybe BOD reverting to 12.

Well done Scotland :)

D'arcy is finished at this level, awful performance. We need to bring a new 12 through urgently, Wallace will have to do until then.
We need a new tighthead urgently, but that is nothing new.

I have been dissapointed with Kearney recently, he is becoming Girve v2.0, hopeless in attack but solid as a rock, where as Geordan i
