i'll knock u out
I absolutely love everything about the french. I even bought a french rugby jersey at the Champs Elysees (adidas store) on my recent travels to Paris. Still have to wear it for the first time. Paris is my favourite city in the world.
So, to answer the thread question, i would definitely buy a Paris club. Be it Racing Metro or Stade Francais.
Hmm. Never really considered the US and I have no idea what their rugby 'situation' is like. Certainly has potential and fun written all over it.I'd buy New York Rugby Club. Partly because I want to go to New York, partly for the growth of the game, and partly because building a team in two seasons to include the entire Toulon & Racing Metro XVa and a sprinkling of current All Blacks would be satisfying.
Big Ewis puts lot of people off!
just a joke...you must be insane if you love "everything about the French". And I meant to say *says there, not "sees"...OH GOD THE WHOLE JOKE IS RUINED !!! *covers face with arms and legs*
He must be insane if he loves everything about the French based on his trip to Paris where there are literally no French.
I've been to France 4 or 5 times, and not just Paris.
Probably key for this thread (if it weren't an......in fantasy), does anyone know what these club might actually sell for?

Alrighty
I guess i have some catching up to do regarding the banter on the forum
Since i'm going for an English club i'll have to adhere to their system. There are obviously benefits in developing and having English qualified players on your books.
From my understanding there are already pretty good systems in place around the country to identify players at RFU level, clubs are improving and investing in this as well ever year and there is a mutual beneficial relationship between the two.
So i would definitely invest in my Academy and junior sections. Look to have good relationships with schools and grassroot clubs in my catchment area, possibly help with funding (if i was a billionaire).
However, the problem with this approach with a club in the lower leagues is you will just lose your players to clubs in the higher leagues, even if you can afford competitive salaries.
So i would also invest off field in stadiums, club house, training facilities to etc...
In terms of recruitment policy i'd look to bring in experienced pros who are looking for a different challenge, possibly add in post career incentives... good bargains from Welsh, Irish and Scottish rejects, English youngsters who cant get a shot at a premiership club, colpak qualified players, eastern europeans and a few SH talents who will add some quality.
