Iestyn Thomas forced to retire

Shame. A terrific player who can go out with his head held high after putting in some tremendous performances in the past year or two. The Scarlets'll miss him.

:(Poor Iestyn, great servant for the club and a great player with a great scrumaging ability and masses of experience. Such a huge shame, was unfortunate not to go to the world cup last year (probably due to his age only). Best of luck in what ever he chooses to do in life.

Aye, fair dues to him. Always had a good deal of respect for him, a great servant of Llanelli and the Scarlets.

... and the fact that Gethin Jenkins, Paul James and Ryan Bevington are all better than him

Iestyn Thomas' best performance from my memory in a Wales shirt was against Ireland in 2003, he destroyed John Hayes

been a decent player for the Scarlets, especially last season when named in the Magners League Dream Team

Now yes, but I'm not to sure about last season.
