I am a dragons fan. .. There I said it.

My question is this. With Charteris and Tovey leaving is it a matter of time until Brew seeks pastures new.

How can we attract and keep bigger better players

Make Toby Faletau grow an affro again;)

But seriously, I guess you should just invest more in the academy set up like the Scarlets have. Sure some will just seek pastures new but many remain loyal, a la Faletau and Lydiate. You don't have the money to compete with some clubs for wages, so just clog up your system with exciting young talent that just keeps replacing itself. Easier said than done I know, and I guess it doesn't directly answer your question.

We have the biggest representation in the Welsh U18's this year.
Just need some big buggers in the tight five.

Yeh, invest in the tight five I say. They don't have to be international players, but need to be solid and dependable. This will give the quality back-row and exciting backline the platform they deserve, and hopefully improve results.

Losing Charteris is a massive blow, especially after being at the club for so long, he needs to be replaced by someone decent. If the rumours of Shingler are true then that will add a little depth to the three quarters that is sometimes missing, especially with Tovey going to the Blues. Hopefully Brew will stay where he is, because it's been evident in the past that the Dragons get the best out of him.

Ideally the Dragons require two new props, two second-rows (to supplement those they have) and a quality centre (only really rate Ashley Smith). Their back-row is excellent, although a better openside wouldn't hurt, and they've got a very dangerous back three. It really is the front five that's letting them down.

2235hrs tonight week in, week out BBC 1 Wales investigating regional rugby. Why players are leaving, lack of attendance etc, etc. It should be interesting and put a slant on how the regions see things at the moment.

Are we short of money? I thought Terrry Mathews (Celtic Manor Owner and really nice guy) or his son or both of them were on or involved with the board and I know times are tight but they still have a few quid should we be expecting to see some of it?
