Heineken Cup 2013/14 Pool 5, Round 2

(Ah, dunno... a pint of stout is nearly 4 quid these days in Belfast.)

I think these days its about 8/10 € but still cheaper than having to go to Ireland to get it but hopefully will be there in Jan for the return match.

Be sure to let us know if you are heading over... and I'll buy you one of our cheap pints :p:lol:

Jesus. €8 for a pint?? I get surly if I have to pay more than €4.50.

and thats down south in RipOffIreland (or ROI for short) ;)

Near cry into me pint when the barman in quinns* would be saying "thats 19 euro there boss" for a round of pints

*have the bw@nkers reopened it? I haven't been down in a while. our fella lives in D4ville, but I haven't asked him.

If you want to know what expensive is last weekend when we played Treviso went on the customary trip to Venise Piazza St Marc, a beer (normal bottle) and a cafe Italien style about 4 teaspoons of coffee how much only 23€ a bargain makes Guiness cheap at half the price.

That should do the business.

Treviso have taken three yellow cards in this game, including two within two minutes of each other which left them at 13 men and than Tigers put in a couple of tries to bury them.

27-3 with seconds to go.

The place out in Drumcondra is it? Yeah, no sign of that reopening.

Big Nick Williams is out :( that's really disappointing, Diack starts. He's decent, but I really thought Williams could have made a huge impact

As a Yorkshireman and recent student, this makes me want to throw up.

Don't think we are strong enough this year to progress can see us finishing 2nd but not with enough in the bank for the last 2 places.

It's up to 8/9€ if you get a good pint. It can go down to 4€ for cheap beer in crappy places. At least in Paris, you won't get anything under that, though maybe Montpellier (as part of the only other region in France other than Paris, called "Province") is cheaper.

We are talking about the Black Stuff, not any old French Gay Beer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, if Guinness it is, besides it being expensive, apparently french bartenders can't pour it properly

Being an ex pub landlord i can vouch for that, a Guiness if not poured properly is like serving red wine out of a fridge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No it is not....a chilled Gamay is excellent but badly poured guiness is ****e!!!

Just occasionally you do write a load of codswallop!

true, but not this time. My apologies to you my friend, but beer is a Germanic thing, Belgian German, they do it the best by far without question, and beer is BLOND ! PERIOD !
But I know celts love their brown stuff......which is fine on occasion, don't get me wrong...

Anybody ever tried black beer ? Like, actually *black* ? similar to brown but even more diluted and liquid, and bitter.

errrr I mean Montpellier, yayyyy.
