Heineken Champions Cup - Rd 1

Obviously missed European Rugby last year, We went over gave them headstart and then said meh we will take a 4 try victory.

It was superb from Ulster tonight and well question is what did Cooney do to Sexton??? As Ireland coaching staff are only ones to fail to see his class.
Equally bad in a way for Ulster as every French team would love a Cooney and well if he has no international hope the €€€€ of France can be hard to avoid.

Saying that Clermont are gone backwards too
Yep. Cooney is actually quite a typical French 9 in the sniping, goal kicking 'petit general' vein. With at least JGP, Murray and Casey ahead of him, you could hardly blame him for a money-spinning move.

TBH, a test calibre player who is not likely to get call-ups is gold dust for any club.

It won't happen, but he'd be my first choice to replace Care at Quins.

He's also 31 so doesn't solve the long term issue and the drop off could be rather big rather soon

Tigers kicked 59 times yesterday.
Pollard is going to be at home
Honestly I do get the kicking thing very effective when done correctly but inside or around the opposition 22 with no advantage just doesn't seem smart to me.

I mean it worked though.
I guess Borthwick didn't want to put UBB in a position where they had to play their wide attacking rugby.

Bordeaux for whatever reason seemed fine with just playing to tigers game I guess management didn't want that to change and in the end their back 3 looked gassed.

Dream start here, tbf

Edit: Traditional second half fade in full effect

A good day. Back in my own home for quarantine number 2 and now Wasps game seems like a tad more closer. Still we are underdogs

Munster brains can't compute not being underdogs. Really passed betting was suspended when I had them at 2/1.

Great win for Connacht.

Happy with the win,
Great first half but dire second - we really do only have 40mins of rugby in us

Only Ospreys could have so many penalties and yellows go their way and throw away so many chances and still lose the game. We're frustrating to watch at the best of times but that was up there.

I see your frustration but Sale have terrible discipline but have a habit of defending supremely well during YC periods, it's not always obvious they have men down.
