I know Sale were huge underdogs but do they even care at the moment 43-0 with 15 minutes to go!!! Toulon have scored two tries while a man down for crying out loud.

Thought they were magnificent in defence in the first half and, once Toulon got into their stride and late 20's why should they care? They cannot go anywhere now!

Yeah they were quite good for the first half hour, and I do understand what your saying about them having no oppourtunity to advance, but it seems like they are playing without a lot of pride at the moment. Just now it got to 57-0.

^ hahaha...
ahhh but I don't look at it like this...
of course a team like Toulouse which is basically the entire French National Team, ok...
but these guys here (Toulon) are just a club...

I'm watching the match right now...took a WHILE for those 60 points to drop...
First half saw a million unawarded tries by Toulon and fantastic Sale defense, with the crappiest of counter-attacks though, they should have put some pts on the board somehow out of those million counter-attacks but anyways...

wondering how the hell Toulon puts another 50 in the second !

Looked like (a lot of) heads went after the first couple of tries - we never got near scoring, and once Toulon had a decent lead the team just went to pots.
Tactic of kicking every scrap of possession to them wasn't exactly inspired either.

Any changes in evidence since Redpath was demoted Olyy?

Some important winnable games coming up against Wasps and Worcester next couple of weeks so this scoreline certainly isn't an ideal way to head into them.

Hard to say - Defence has improved (which you'd never guess, looking at the scorelines  ) and commitment (for the most part) looks to have improved - both were lacking big time before. That we held up three (I think it was) tries in the first half shows that they're definitely moving in the right direction - vs London Welsh we just let their forwards stroll over the line from 5m out, at least we're competing now

Realistically the two Toulon games were nothing games for us, and the Saints game was too early to gauge the effect Mitchell has had on the side - Worcester will be the big test of where we're at.
