Agreed... we want as much diversity in the heineken, but not at the expense of the quality of teams... its mad that you've got zebre in the competition above gloucester for example, who are scoring for fun at the moment....or my wasps who were unlucky not to qualify for the knockouts last time despite being toulouse at home and a bonus point away. However, I can see the argument that it would be too much of a 'sausagefest' if it were predominantly english french and irish teams....

Its a bit silly but at the same time there is an argument that without their Heineken cup places the smaller European clubs would be a lot worse off, whereas clubs likes Gloucester and Wasps can survive without being in the cup every season. That being said it is an argument that becomes less valid every time someone posts a cricket score over one of the smaller teams...
