HEC: Leinster - Glasgow (20-11-2011, 12:45)

I think last years tournament goes to show nobody should be making predictions at this stage.
Sarcasm?

I knew Leinster would win it from an early stage they were **** hot....Northampton were the closest they came to losing , which was very very close but other than the first 40 mins in Cardiff I don't feel like they were terribly strained

If you told me during the six nations when Matt Banahan managed to trash, a very weakened Northampton but its was the saints nonetheless, that they were going to get too the final and put in such an amazing effort I would have simply asked you for some of what you were smoking.

I'll grant you that it looked liked Leinster were going to at least get to the semis but I'd have fancied a couple French teams in there not Saints and Leinster wouldn't be nailed.

Anyways to this year... I am really not looking forwards to Bath Leinster.

The point is after the first round everyone wrote Northampton off yet in the Final Leinster had to earn the ***le (because lets not discredit the Leinster performance by saying Saints stopped playing. They were still bloody good and Leinster were better).

This year there's a couple of sides who've bumbled to a win or two who could yet be the surprise package. Anyone who writes a name on the cup on this stage is talking the ****.

That's also true but although I was confident in Leinster last year Northampton had been for the last couple of years a very serious outfit that could beat anyone on their day and it was not a massive surprise when they did us over for a good while last year...

However I do think that this year is completely wide open.

Did anyone else think Lukey Fitz was immense?

Yeah he has been improving quickly this season!! Being left out of the WC squad was the best thing that happened to him. He is beating players again, holding on to passes while running great lines and he has his great footballing skills back.

He had been doing this the last couple of games before the WC I felt :p

Good crowd of 17,924 at the 18,500 capacity RDS.

Was at 97% capacity.
