With a scope? Nope. Then you forget 1 thing. 7 seconds for 3 shots. 1 shot, 1.6 seconds later another then 6 seconds later another. Tell me can any one load a heavy bolted rifle in under 1.6 seconds and hit the target?Don't worry Little Guy, at least its still about guns, ammo and hunting
You forget that LHO was firing from the 6th floor of the Texas School Book Repository, and elevated firing point. He was shooting downwards at a target that was going away from him at 11 mph. Try to visualise it...
Even though the further way target was smaller, it could have been easier shot to make!!
The hardest part about hitting the moving target is allowing for the "lateral" movement. Hitting a moving target that is going directly away from you is no different from hitting a stationary target, because you don't have to track it.
A simple vector analysis will show that the change of angle decreases the number of degrees per second that the shooter has to track as the target moves further away. That's probably why the first one missed, the second one hit but was low, and the third one was the kill shot.
The great Sergeant Carlos Hatchcock said the following:
Let me tell you what we did at Quantico. We reconstructed the whole thing: the angle, the range, the moving target, the time limit, the obstacles, everything. I don't know how many times we tried it, but we couldn't duplicate what the Warren Commission said Oswald did. (KILL ZONE, pp. 89-90)
A man with 93 confirmed kills in Vietnam, who was the record holder for the longest kill until 2002 until a Canadian broke that record and a man who killed a enemy sniper by a shot through the scope said he could not made that shot. He tried he failed. The CBS tests that were done ALL the highly trained marksmen failed to make those shorts on the first attempt. Howard Donahue, took THREE attempts to score at least two hits out of three shots in under six seconds. That is why I said 19 seconds. If you did not fire a rifle for over 2 months then and then suddenly hit two out of three in 7 seconds with a clumsy heavy bolted 1940 Italian rifle with a custom mounted scope off course the public is going to ask questions.
The conspiracy is not that he did not play part in it. He did. He fired two shot. Both hit him where he had time. So yes he did kill him. But the theories come in when people ask: Was there something beyond Lee Harvey Oswald? And now what you do is you look at the evidence.
I believe they did not have a strong case if it ever went to trail. Do you believe they would have gotten a guilty verdict if their main witness was a guy 15 feet from the building looking 6 stories up, seeing Oswald right through a closed window behind a rifle?
You can state trajectories, implosions degree of angle amplitude altitude but that is just a theory. Like all the other stories on what could have happen is just a plain old theory. In reality no one has ever made that shot on the first attempt inside 7 seconds with the exact circumstances other than LHO. I vote for a Guinness book of records induction.
