Gaming news

The pandemic did see a hiring boom, but the cuts we're seeing now are way too deep for that. The industry has been chasing bigger and better for a long time now and it seems like it's finally caught them out.

Really can't wait for this, been following development of it on twitter for literal years
Feels like a labour of love for the dev team/studio, so I have faith it's gonna be good but also not expecting a release anytime soon, probably be next summer or something

Not much apart from sequel to GOT with GOY. Although not played the first one.

Yeah Ghost of Tsushima was great really up for more adventures.

Has the internet freaked out on female protagonist yet?

They shouldn't do. We've had Lara Croft and Aloy.

Yeah I think gaming is a tad better. Marvel and Star Wars can be toxic.

Most of the gaming pods I listen too have female gamers on the panel.

Looking forward to Ghost of Yotei - GoT is one of my favourite games ever

Did kind of want a direct sequel but not against a new protagonist - also must be much easier to make a game with a new character you can build up rather than a fully fledged end game character already
I've been playing the Assassin's Creed ezio trilogy and it's funny starting the next game and them having to come up with a reason for you losing all of your gear and skills and needing to start again

**** me are they ever going to make a new one
Triple A game development is incredibly expensive and as such, they only play it safe now with names they know have an audience. Different variants of dark souls, minecraft, fornite, open world and of course, remakes. If you want more interesting and different stuff, look underneath triple A. Much better stuff coming out like Blue Prince, UFO50, Heartbound, Loco Motive, Full Void and Old Skies etc.

I know. It's more a comment on the infinite releases of Skyrim in the last almost 14 years - and now this. Todd is a lazy arse.

Oh, that's not going to stop. Triple A is slowly collapsing and the next elder scrolls will take years due to the scale. Honestly, play avowed if you're after something like that though. It's a "smaller" game compare to what they think qualify as big by today's silly standards.

If you compare Starfield with KCD 2 it's like night and day. FallOut 76, FallOut 4 and Starfield all a tad meh. Bethesda haven't put out a good game for awhile. Not sure a new Elder Scrolls will be much better, still it'll sell gang busters.

KCD is in that weird spot of is it triple A or not. The first one was a kickstarter project.

Big or small, games can be good, but if we're talking what a triple A game is, I think KCD2 is more AA. It has a lot of money behind it, but not what you typically see in triple A (100+ million).
