I suppose one of the issues with waiting around is that the best time to recruit coaches would be when the season has closed, so if we don't recruit someone this summer/autumn, then we'll be waiting until next summer/autumn to get someone. Also, if we wait around, some coaches may get tied down by clubs eg Mallett (though other coaches may be finishing their contracts)...
