France v Australia

AAC was my man of the match.
He looks natural in any position, but seems to shine now at 13.
Great pace and angled running, chips through only when needed, solid player.

AAC has always coveted the 13 jersey. Having Mortlock as a team mate at the brumbies and wallabies made it hard to have a crack as well as his versatility as a mr fixit when ever they have injuries anywhere in the backline. Hopefully he is honoured by holding on to the jersey. There isnt anybody else apart fro digby ioane that can adequately play outside center. Rob Horne is overated imho.

I hate it when you can't win a single game on your EOYT because your scrum is crap, scrums are such a big part of the game, the Wallabies need a good scrum or they will never win a game of rugby.... oh wait :p

They need to run with a specialist tighthead. Mafu has been the only specialist. Ben Alexander and Slipper are converted Looseheads.

Alexander is a quality loosehead!
Watching some games of the Brumbies, I've seen him do things that I've seen only made by Sheridan.
He can play tighthead, but he need the help of Ben Robinson, who is one of the most technician loosehead in world rugby.

France gave the Wallaby backs too mch space in the 2nd half. What I admire most about the Wallabies is that you don't see the forwards in the backline.

I would be interested in seeing the Wallaby backs play off of ball from the SA forwards. Something like:

1 Steenkamp
2 du Plessis
3 du Plessis
4 Botha
5 Matfield
6 Smith
7 Pocock
8 Alberts
9 du Preez
10 Cooper
11 Mitchell
12 Giteau
13 Ashley-Cooper
14 O'Connor
15 Beale

..maybe when the Baabaas take on NZ again seeing as it is so difficult to secure NH players at the end of year.

I'm amazed Williams was allowed to play considering the Heineken Cup resumes next week.
