France v Australia

Bryce Lawrence is the most stupid referee I've ever seen...
He can't referee the scrum (B&I '09, tonight), now a penalty for not rolling away.... bah... o_O

Ausie scrum - humiliated.

Also, Poricol is not Test level fullback. Messed up in final minute. He could simple kick ball into touch, but maybe it is typical french play.

Once fixed (a bit) their scrums, Australia ruled everywhere the game.
AAC and GOD are almost synonyms!

Amazing!

Totally useless Traille-Jauzion-Rougerie, it's hard to play Oz with a pure flyhalf, think when you switch a pure centre... Na, unfortunately France didn't have their best flyhalves for this match, but this backs are horrible!

They turned off their brain after Genia's try.
France is a strong team, if they will rescue both their flyhalves, Medard and Poitrenaud, they're gonna smash every european team in 6N.

But tonight they've been a total disaster.

I feel sorry for all the crowd freezing at Stade de France, I think they all should going to ring at Lievremont's door asking their money back!!

France don't just have to go back the the drawing board, they need to throw it away and buy an new one!

That was an absolute botty-smacking. 46 points unopposed in the second half! WTF?

Looks to me like the French forwards all thought they were backs... and the backs... well, they just didn't think.

Who saw that coming? I certainly didn't

Perhaps Australia have peaked too early?

Yeah I thought this one would be close.

Aus have definately peaked, all downhill from here for them

Hate to say it but I saw it coming...Didn't see the game so will wait to post anything.

I hope we won't see Traille starting at 10 ever again...

100% in agreement.

Well, I am not too bothered really. Its good that France got to see some of their subpar players be beaten by Australian players who did the simple thing of keeping the ball alive and linking. France will ax their entire backline without question. They really, really missed Trinh-Duc but also others. For the Six Nations they will go for 9 Dupuy, 10 Trinh-Duc, 11 Clerc, 12 Mermoz, 13 Yann David (if fit), 14 Andreu, 15 Médard.

For many backs today it cost them a place in New Zealand 2011.

Pathetic from France. They had three wrong players wearing 13, 14 and 15 who leaked four Australaian tried. Better players were avaliable but not selected. Rougerie showed by he is a test winger not centre when in possesion in the first half. On defence he was a victim of ball watching while Huget (how is this useless ****?) took the ***le from All Black Simon Manix as the worst international player of all time. Utterly poor in defence. Let in three basic tries. I coach a team and train them to mark their man and make sure you always know where he is. Huget had no idea where Mitchell was. Mitchell did not even play well. Just chased Cooper and Ashley-Coopers kicks and linked - highschool stuff.

Porical - well was murdered by Felipe Contepomi in June as Argentina won 41-13. Today was a repeat. Poitrenaud and Médard both avaliable and both not wanted? Palisson in the squad but not picked at 15? Au revoir Porical. Your test carrier is over.

Andreu should have played 14. France should have picked Fall and Médard with him in the back three. Or started Rougerie at 14 where he has always played for France and used Bastrenaud or Fritz at 13.

Traille a flyhalf? Never again. Beauxis is not the greatest but is fit and avaliable. Traille played like a centre and I wonder why? Parra was poor too. Very bad infact.

France were better in the first half, much better. They had Australian beaten at halftime and simply needed to play the percentages. It was their game to win and still should have been after Australia's second try after the interval. Dusautoir vanished in the second. He should be dropped too. A poor captain's match. Ouedraogo did well. Good in the lineouts. Bet players when in possesion, did not miss tackles, got back and ready for the next phase and was always present in the ruck. He was better than Pocock who aside from one near turnover in which France were penalized was outplayed. France should seriously drop Dusautoir for the Six Nations. It was a poor game, worse than Ryan Jones vs Fiji.

France will return with a very different team in February and be much better.

I hate it when you can't win a single game on your EOYT because your scrum is crap, scrums are such a big part of the game, the Wallabies need a good scrum or they will never win a game of rugby.... oh wait :p

Highlights of the game, if you're like me and are too poor to afford the Rugby Channel.

Shot nick.

The Wallabies scored some good tries, they're looking more dangerous now and if we make the quarter finals next year in the RWC we get them.

No way for Dupuy at scrum-half. Yesterday Parra had to play scrum-half and fly-half. France should stick with Parra-Trinc-Duc combination and Yashvili/Dupuy as sub for scrum-half. Traille is center not fly-half. Play him at 13 and Jauzion at 12. Or try Mermoz/David. I expect different team in Six Nations because this one for AI's was a little bit experimental - see depth of backs and I think most of them failed.
