If this "Form Team" pattern were to continue in sequence South Africa have a great chance at becoming the first country to win the Rugby World Cup back to back!

Or is it Australia's turn to dominate?

Food for thought?!

Using that logic the next president of the US will be another Bush, and there will be a terrorist attack on the 9th of November, but the question is, where?

As far as this pattern goes it equals Manu Samoa.

I'd probably say NZ were the form team of 07, they just stuffed up in one game that counted.

October = 31 days
November = 30
December = 31
January = 31
February = ???

Argh, Savage!!! My head hurts!!!!

I'm not been bias but New Zealand is one of (if not) the hardest places in the world to win at. Eden Park in particular is a real fortress for the All Blacks - The Wallabies havn't won there for 23 odd years or something ridiculous like that. I'd be hard pressed to see The All Blacks loose in Auckland. But on the other side of the coin, world cups arn't exactly our thing.

For SA I can see we tend to win close games if F du Preez is there and this corrolates with your 'form team' pattern, although I would agree that NZ were the form team in 2007 even though we went on to win the WC. As for teh WC being in NZ next year one would have to have NZ as overwhelming favourites although I wouldn't be surprised to see SA playing in the final against either Aus or France. England also has a way to dig in and pull through in a knock-out format. Don't think there is much to read into this 'pattern' which isn't definite by any means and maybe a bit short to be called a pattern to start off with in any case.

If all SA players that are injured like burger, fourie, du Preez etc. are fit to play in WC SA might still have a good chance to beat NZ. (again)
but the favourites are quite obvious, NZ AUS SA and then france or ireland.

Maybe we shouldn't discuss a form sequence but a prize sequence

2007 SA World Champion
2008 NZ Tri-Nations winner
2009 SA Tri-Nations winner
2010 NZ Tri-Nations winner
2011 SA World Champion

I guess we will also win the Four Nations in 2013

I'm picking Australia mate, they got a young team by the time the WC swings round NZ might see a repeat of '03

Well, for the variety of things it would be nice to see one of the other NH teams take the trophy. I would prefer Ireland or Wales if I had to chose a NH team.

If NZ don't win this one I hope that England do.

Especially hope Aus or the Saffas don't.

Sorry Olyy, I just don't have anything with England. Nor do I have anything against them. I admire them a lot more than the football team.

i rate England more likely to win the world cup than france or ireland
