na you cant move your arms when holding the ball...i reckon habana would kill in a foot race.. [/b]

Im just saying that it's the case with me, i run faster with the ball than without

Chavanga or whatever his name is may be the fastest but is he that great as a player? Sure a good game against the chiefs now people are getting boners over him. OVERRATED. Watch him be non existent in the TRI nations assuming that he actually makes the team.

I vote for Bryan Habana. For me is the fastest wing, capable and with good ball handling

It's Fastest player thread dude. He is the fastest player. Nobody cares about your useless opinion on whether or not you think he is a good player. :wall:

I do! It's very important. No point being the fastest guy on earth unless you can play. (Not that I'm saying Chavanga isn't a good player). There's also no need to tell someone to shut up and his opinion is useless! This is a forum for sharing opinions and generally having fun.

different running styles between shabana and chavanga aye, shabana and his quick strides and chavanga like a cheetah! lolz

Jericho's point was right - this topic is about the fastest player, how the player actually performs has sweet f*** all to do with his speed.

Aye

Top 10 Wingers based on speed:
Tonderai Chavhanga (10.33 s 100m, will definitely improve his all round game like Habana )
Tom Varndell (10.8 in socks)
Bryan Habana (10.4 at the age of 17, but is said to run just under 11s now withe extreme acceleration)
Doug Howlett (10.66 in his prime)
Ben Stapleton (10.4 seconds unofficial but I've noticed he has terrible acceleration)
Joe Rokocoko (4.54 seconds over 40 metres, excellent acceleration)
Rupeni Caucaunibuca (Said to run early 11's, very good for such a heavy winger)
Sosene Anesi (4.66 seconds in the 40 metre dash but has suffered a lot of injuries)
Sireli Bobo (great pace once he's in his stride)

Habana is not as fast as everyone thinks.
Chavanga is probably the fastest, I have seen Lelia Masaga gas Habana not to mention that USA winger

I've watched that flick on youtube when Habana races a cheetah.... insane!!!

zee ngwenya of the states ran a 10.5 at university
[/b]

The only man to mention Ngwenya before the world cup :bravo:

But might be Dwain chambers soon enough!

Pity he wasnt taken on, he would have been considerably faster than the likes of Chavanga and Varndell.

9.87

I doubt that. Thats an olympic speed. Less than half a second slower than the world record. And besides, Chavhanga will still smoke him. None of you have actually seen him run with his true potential. Seriously, just read what Jake White said about him, as well as Z Ngwenya. And i really dont know why Varndell is rated to be so quick? Socks on grass, come on people. I reckon Habana will smoke him.

Another thing i think is that i dont really care what times are. Habana is around 11seconds, which is faster than a certain Lelia Masaga, who happened to run away from him and score in the corner last year. . .

What is Chavangas actual time? Dwayne Chambers is one of the quickest men in the world, you cant dispute this as he has been a european champion and world medalist. These guys really are nothing on him, i know its hard to take that someone could be quicker than some Bok players but its true. The fact is quick for a rugby player and world sprint quick are quite different, just because Jake White says that hes the fastest man he trained doesnt say to much as hes only trained rugby players.
