The worst they could have done was 1-3 by stacking them. They were lucky to only go 1 worse for each driver.

Verstappen is going to win it isn't he? McLaren have royally thrown this away but Verstappen is a generational talent. He alone is dragging that Red Bull kicking and screaming into contention. I'd really like to see how he does starting from scratch in a different team.

It would be hard for Lando / McLaren to **** up to be honest. He'd have to be in 4th and miles behind (or somehow ahead) of Piastri. I know there's no love lost between then but I don't see a situation where Piastri doesn't move over to give Lando the championship out of spite or whatever.

People would have said it would be difficult for McLaren to end up with the current situation yet here we are. I need to check my sums but if Verstappen wins the next race, he takes the title. I feel Piastri is far more likely to go all out to win for himself than help Norris even if it means neither win. He did the same last year when he wasn't even in contention and ended up harming Norris chances rather than being the team player.

Norris wins the title if he comes third or higher. If he comes 4th, Verstappen has to win after that it gets more complex.

Class to have a championship come down to the last day but Lando is hot hot favourite. As much as he and his team have the capacity to bottle it, they have the fastest car and he's a quick driver. I see him qualifying anywhere between 1-3, as long as he doesn't drop to 6th or lower off the start I can't see it being overly interesting.

Well you can subtract 1 at least from whatever position Norris qualifies given his awful starts to races. He reminds me of Bottas in that sense. Bottas would always drop a position or 2 in the first laps and spend the rest of the race trying to regain it.

Qatar's dirty side was a known issue.

Anyway cant see a situation where Piastri if he cant win the championship doesn't wave Lando through (even backing someone up into him). Abu Dhabi you can also overtake at as well.

He'd pretty much be killing his McClaren career if he doesn't.

I think twitter must account for at least 90% of this. I'm off it again after Ireland v SA and that race. Fucks up your perspective of people a good bit when you have these lunatics spouting all the bile they want on their free speech platform.
