F1 Racing

Monaco is a terrible race but I wouldn't take it out of the calendar

I would, at least as an actual race. Maybe have a special event where they wheel out old cars or something else but as a race it has got to be binned. Being unable to overtake isn't a new part of it, there was the infamous Mansell race decades ago. It's little more than a massive vanity project for the ultra wealthy in F1 with no racing. When you can lap 3 seconds or so slower and still can't be overtaken, it makes a mockery of the whole thing.
indidnt watch the end of the race did he not take a penalty for this in the end?

Wasn't 100% clear cut but I imagine Ferarri might protest due to what a 5 second penalty might incur.

No, as far as I can see he got no penalty. Only defence I can see given is that he crossed the line due to sliding rather than intent, don't know how much leniency they will give with that.

Red Bull continuing to have favourites. Perez could win the ***le this year if given a fair shot. If this continues Max will have a second tainted ***le.

So what are the feeling that the FIA may have intervene about the porpoising putting old man Hamilton's back out?

Got to remember as well Hamilton is one of the oldest drivers on the track and in one of the worst porpoising cars. If he is shown to suffer injury as a result of this, it could cause trouble for F1. This isn't the sort of injury that comes with the inherent risk with the sport, it's a design fault and can be avoided but isn't all for the sake of performance. I think this will be Hamilton's last season if they don't get on top of this.

I think Hamilton is done regardless, seems so fed up which even I'd agree is fair.

Merc just shouldn't injure their 6 time world champ, surely a couple tenths of a second isn't worth potentially ruining their relationship with one of the GOATs who can continue to benefit them post retirement if they play their cards right.

Mercedes should raise the ride height if it's bottoming out. They should only step in to protect Hamilton from his team
I don't think this is true from what Russell was saying afterwards - basically that if they raised the height, they were bouncing rather than bottoming out so they were getting the problem regardless.

Even Ricc was complaining afterwards and still holding his back almost an hour afterwards in the interviews, and the McLaren was supposed to be bouncing the least!

There's a clear problem with the regs
