I don't disagree. Like I don't think I'm being hypocritical here? The FIA are con artists. But, I'm happy Lewis didn't win the championship.
The poor running of the sport isn't going to affect me as a supporter right now and I'm not changing my mind on the change that is required in race control on account of this.
Honestly, reviewing that in my head, that decision was entirely about giving Max one lap to try and win and they knew he was on the better tyres. Same as in rugby a match shouldn't be won through the officials decisions.
At least you admit to it being a BS call and no I wouldn't call you a hypocrit at all. I just hate seeing a world championship being decided like that. I'll watch again in the new season but I have no desire to hear Max and Christian act like it was deserved on today's race.
I get you saying that you don't want Hamilton to win, but I'm don't believe Max deserves to win. He was handed this victory and like in any sport, you get some decision, you don't get others. This last call though blatantly favoured Verstappen and should not have been made, even if they did it for entertainment reasons.
Pretty much its not actually unfair to allow lap cars pass in fact its what they should of done but they were worried they wouldnt get any racing laps if theyndid. Its not giving Lewis a full lap to prepare for it and suddenly changing it on him.
Fully expect a Mercedes protest (that will come to nothing).

Today was 100% wrong.
Right driver won the champo, wrong driver won today is how I see it.

Which tips the scales in Schumi's favour imo.
It's not really that clearcut. Hamilton mostly just has records, which are easier to break than set.

This season felt so nascar-ish. Manufactured drama cheapens the actual drama which makes people lose interest.

As a neutral I really enjoyed it.
Can be a petulant in car but usually handles himself pretty well in the paddock these days.

Can't agree to be honest. My first full season watching F1 and I really really enjoyed it!
That was in rugby terms the equivilent of Gazure allowing Wales to restart when they shouldn't for a match winning try in the 80th minuite.
Great entertainment but a complete failure by match officials to properly run the match.
