European Qualification 2010/11

Munster twice I count :)
I thought his first stat was number of teams, not number of appearances?
Like, 1 Irish team has been runner up, whereas X amount of X country have?

But then again, only Leicester has for England, so that's not 2

What I said was "As many English teams have won it as Celtic teams have reached finals".

6 Times the cup has been won by an English team.
6 times has a CELTIC (5 Irish, 1 Welsh) team just been a finalist - 4 of those as winners, but regardless... As many English teams have won it as Celtic teams have reached finals

I thought you didn't like wiki Mite?

Not complainig or anything, just wondering.

I don't particularly, but for things like that it's good enough.

Bullit count Munster 4 Final appearance, Ulster 1appearance and Leinster 1appearance that 6 for Ireland :D

and well I not stirring crap but well like Connacht never played in H'Cup so out of 3 Irish teams in Competition all 3 have won.
England have had 4 clubs out of 10 maybe to win.
There so many ways we can argue points and they throw up different scenario's

Alright, be really cynical. Then compare apples with apples and also mention that every English finalist has won it.

Anyway, the point was (in a round about way) when Monkeypidgeon said Leicester (therefore English clubs) aren't relevant because they've not won it in years... Or three to be precise.

Forgetting completely it's been 2 years since Munster were in a final and Tigers reached the final since then.

By that logic, the almighty Munster must also no longer be relevant. Or are we not allowed to imply that?

I'd agree with that logic, mainly as it means Leinster > Everyone.

Munster are ALWAYS relevant :p

But I agree with you as I said in point just because teams get to final that is meaningless in some ways as you play 'luck of draw'.
But I agree no English team that played in final can say they never won it but my point is there so many ways to compare and some will say ML better others say GP and rest Top 14.

Reality is the competition would be a worst place if we changed qualification allocations from what they are now and it'd also effect the magic of competition

As all the leagues are needed to make this comp as great as it is.

as soon as the gp gets its allocation reduced to 4 for producing su-.

hooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooorrrrrnnn!

so after today the only way that Biarritz won't qualify for Europe is if Wasps or Cardiff win the Amlin combined with an Irish win in the European Cup, so given that Toulouse should do the job in Paris in 4 weeks they should be alright.
