Euro 2020[1]

On the one side want England to win it (I think they have the better team tbh),on the other @The_Blindside will be endlessly posting "it's coming home" if they win,so..I don't know what's worse :p

I am milking it whilst it's relevant. It still will be win or lose;).

I'm just going to make sure that whenever England score in the rugby tonight, I'll make a social media post of "Ah, great score by England there" to troll those who don't realise England U20s are even playing

Lies, if England win this Baddiel and Skinner are definitely getting together for an updated version for the World Cup next year. It will most definitely get louder for next year.

The three millstones hanging around British sports neck were/are (non rugby) :

1. Wimbledon win by a British male since 1936 . Check. Murray ended that in 2013.

2. For cricket fans. Cricket World Cup after losing numerous World Cup finals. Check ended that in 2019 at Lords.

3. Football - no Major international since 1966. 2021 At Wembley?

Any others?

Coldstream Guards getting in on the It's Coming Home act at Clarence House. Watching that I'm puffing my chest out and proud to be part of that slightly daft race they call the English. C'mon!!

Good question.

It's now 44 years since a British woman won any tennis grand slam.

Tour de France had been going 109 years before Wiggo won that in 2012.

But the ultimate has to be the America's Cup. 1851 and counting…..Not sure the British public consider it a millstone but Ben 'They've made me angry and you don't want to make me angry' Ainslie would.

I know it's a minority (obviously a sizeable enough one) but it's one of a few reasons the three lions are impossible to warm to.
