Could be wrong, but it sounded to me like Brace was asking the TMO to check.I'm sure there was a knock on and the touch judge called it and Brace ignored it.
The common response I here to your comment is "if you don't like scrums go watch league" which is a strawman. Every likes a well contested scrum battle but as you say, when the ball is playable it should just be get the fucker out and get on with the game.If the ball is playable it shouldn't be a penalty
Scrums are the worst thing about this sport, and it's not even close
Just play the game ffs
Hope Stuart has had his weetabix
Ok, so I know Jones still likes a kick, but one thing kicking to compete increases is knock ons and when your scrums are struggling you don't want to create more chances for knock ons. England really need to keep ball in hand more.
Yeah, scrums are a way to restart the game - if it's possible to restart from whatever mess is on the pitch then it should be restartedThe common response I here to your comment is "if you don't like scrums go watch league" which is a strawman. Without detailing the thread there was a few scrums in the Wales v SA game where it seemed the ball was at the 8s feet for about 5 seconds both sides holding well but the ref just waits ages until there's an infringement or SA get a second shove on. Annoying. Must of wasted about 5 mins or so of in game time. Stopping the clock at scrum time would be a good start.

Just implement use it or lose it. No reason to stop the clock unless you want to bring the game down to 35 minute halves. But yeah my favorite ref state side tells teams he'll reset if they look for a penalty after the initial drive instead of playing the ball and it makes the game much better. The common response I here to your comment is "if you don't like scrums go watch league" which is a strawman.
