England vs South Africa 20 / 11 / 2021

That drop goal attempt, not so good...

Why did Youngs just pointlessly box kick it away...?

Can anyone explain to me why Youngs has just gifted them half time when we were in a decent position to attack?

Good decision for Drop goal...should have nailed it though

Discipline is costing us. Also would love to see Quirke on for Youngs and see what happens with quicker ball. Youngs is so slow and passing to stationary players.

Much better half than I expected

Definitely under pressure in the scrum (though SAs over eagerness on the engage is costing them) and maul - surprised SA haven't kicked a few to the corner and gone for the maul but 3pts is 3pts I guess, and they're within touching distance without really doing much on attack at all (yet?)

Would like to see Dombrandt get a good half hour

Surprisingly England seem to be actually playing better. If we cut out the stupid penalties, SA haven't created a whole lot. SA definitely look stronger in the scrum and I hope we don't take their penalties there as evidence we should try to compete with them, just get the damn thing out ASAP.

Initial underdog adrenaline has gone now. Boks absolutely dominating the collision point. The bomb squad will be only within the first 7 minutes.

Curry is not an 8. Don't understand why he is there.

England should have been ahead by 8-11 points.

Looking at Malins and Steward here; they've been great. Can't see Daly getting back into the team easily.

To be fair, the penalties that gave SA their 12 points were more inaccuracy rather than outright indiscipline. May is having a bit of a shocker and pure sloppiness (uncharacteristically for him) was responsible for half of their points alone. The long range penalty was for not rolling away which was clear enough but not really in a dangerous area.

Tighten-up, tidy up and we might be OK.

He's not 'heavy duty' though. If we try to use him that way, it probably won't work.

That's why I want Tom Willis.
Willis isn't really a heavy duty 8, though, is he?
I'd say he's much more of a Dombrandt than a Vunipola
