It does kind of make sense but it's a big ask for Suali'i.This is 1 of only 4 matches for Australia before they play the Lions.
Given that, then A] @TopTen2003's desire to see a turning point moment had better come soon; and B] you can see why Schmidt wants as many minutes into Suaali'i as possible before then.
Obviously, it's still too soon for him, and likely to go horribly wrong (and probably horrible right as well), but you can see the logic.
