England v Scotland</div>

Well England put in their best performance in the 6 Nations since putting Ireland to the sword in the final game last season.

Scotland again flattered to deceive at Murrayfield against Ireland and if the rumours are to be believed than Hadden is in line for the chop should we get the expected result at Twickenham on Saturday.

Whether Scotland will make the same amount of mistakes and gift England tries remains to be seen but it might be better in the long run for Scotland that they lose this match and get someone other than Hadden in charge.

Should be a decent match before the main event.

Well I said pre-France game that England would win it and lose against Scotland.

I can't really go back on that so Scotland by 3 in a tightly contested penalty-packed match.

Unless Scotland defend like France did today. If that happens then England will probably win.

well if there's some Glasgow like defensive moments they could well be in trouble but I don't think they'll be as porous as the French were today.

There'll be pumped, no doubt, and vigorous at the break down. If only Scotland had the intensity they have against England in the rest of their matches.

Up here my mates have resorted to saying that "They only care about the England game". This is a popular celtic mantra but one that it seems the Scotland fans take too seriously. The fans were shocking against Ireland on Saturday.

Anyway, I've gone off on a tangent and should get back to my kip.

Scotland to win by ten.

I apologise in advance for any arrogance and one-eye'ed Englishness in the above predition :p You smaller people need something to moan about after all...

that's awfully big of you, must be difficult up there on your lofty perch looking down on us mere mortals.

would Scotland get rid of Hadden if they won on Saturday, surely it's only a question of delaying the inevitable so why delay it?

A good English friend on the Ospreys board, DailyWaffle, commented in 2007 that us beating England on the final day was the worst thing that could have happened to us, as we kept Gareth Jenkins in charge until the wor.... until the worl.... until the world c.... I CAN'T SAY IIIIIIITTT!!!!
Scotland are in pretty much the same situation.

Indeed Cyril, this has happened for a couple of years with Hadden he's always just managed to squirm his way out of trouble with a last ditch victory. The world cup quarter final meant they couldnt really sack him despite with a better coach and game plan we possibly could have made the semis. I cant see us winning, whatever happens i think Hadden will go. Better than Williams but not much.

Scotland will win and it will keep Hadden in a job.

Then next year he'll lose most the games but then beat England and keep his job.

Then the year after that...cycle continues.

Tongue in cheek but typical.

And I've already posted this somewhere, can't remember if its here.

So what we are all saying is we all want England to win?

Gotta be a first that :)
Obviously by We I mean the English and the Scots ;)

the england team:

1. Sheridan 2. Mears 3. Vickery
4. Borthwick © 5. Shaw
6. Croft 8. Easter 7. Worsley
9. Ellis 10. Flood
11. Monye 12. Flutey 13. Tindall 14. Cueto
15. Armitage

So Flood plays then, huge sigh of relief for England after Goode's awful performance on Sunday when he came on.

Scotland XV: C Paterson (Edinburgh); S Danielli (Ulster), M Evans (Glasgow), G Morrison (Glasgow), T Evans (Glasgow); P Godman (Edinburgh), M Blair (Edinburgh, capt); A Dickinson (Gloucester), R Ford (Edinburgh), E Murray (Northampton), J White (Sale), J Hamilton (Edinburgh), A Strokosch (Gloucester), S Gray (Northampton), S Taylor (Stade Francais).

Replacements: D Hall (Glasgow), M Low (Glasgow), N Hines (Perpignan), K Brown (Glasgow), C Cusiter (Perpignan), N De Luca (Edinburgh), H Southwell (Edinburgh).

1 change for Scotland with Gray coming in for Barclay.

in fairness, given the players he has can you expect Hadden to do any better? At least they beat Italy, which is about all they are capable of unless they come up with a one-off performance against one of the better sides.

Let's face facts, Scotland can't expect to improve until they get better players across the board, not just back rows, wings and 9s.
