Certainly a case of swings and roundabouts in this one, New Zealand well in control having bowled England out cheaply and well set for a hefty first innings score of their own on 93-1 at lunch only to be skittled over for 168 and now England have a lead of 162 with 8 wickets remaining, any more twists in store tomorrow or can England kick on thanks to Sidebottom yet again coming up trumps.
Big wicket for Vetorri there and a quality catch from Taylor to get rid of Pietersen, reasonably cheaply as well, pressure's on Strauss now to see a big lead built here.
Can't believe the way England have got themselves out of such a mess on the first day. Very impressed with them for once, but have to say NZ have been pretty poor. Still, series victory unless we badly **** up tonight!
also, want to see Monty bag a load of wickets, but fear sideshow bob may beat him to it...
