England EPS 2017/18 edition.

Will be an interesting decision for Jones to make for the BaBas squad and really think we could see some curve balls... for me the likes of Spencer, Smith, Mercer, Curry's, Cokanasiga, Velacott, Singleton (Walker) have to be in there for bringing Talent through but on form you have to think Solomona, Yarde, Ross, Harrison, trinder, Atkinson, Billy burns etc. have to be up there...

Also post BaBas game and looking at the tour going forward to SA, if Dan Robson isn't in that squad.. I give up with EJ and England :confused:

I think the barbarians game is the last of Solomona's ban
Yarde is in excellent form but I don't think Eddie will get him in cause of the locker room, doubt the Quins guys (especially marler) would react well to it

Doctors have said he tried to do something other than run quickly in a straight line and his knee gave out through shock

Eddie clearly doesn't rate him, but Morgan had some v good moments against Bath. He always seemed to play better in white and I'm mystified why he's fallen so far off the radar. Can only put it down to the Gloucester triangle. He's a specialist 8, and a heavy carrier with a decent turn of pace and reasonable hands. Got to be worth having as an option for the next time Binny breaks.

You have alternatives for the BaBas game then?

Dave?

In all srsniss...

1. Genge
2. Walker/Singleton
3. Sinckler/Hill
4. Spencer
5. Ewels
6. Curry/Chisolm
7. Curry
8. Mercer

9. Youngs/Vellacott
10. Ford/Smith
11. May/Lewington
12. Te'o/Tuilagi
13. Marchant/Ibitoye
14. Cokanasiga
15. Woodward

16. Walker/Singleton
17. Boyce/Obano
18. Sinckler/Hill
19. Savage/Williams/A.N.Other
20. Curry/Chisolm
21. Youngs/Vellacott
22. Ford/Smith
23. Brown/Ibitoye?

This is one of those annoying situations where we're going to have to pick stand-ins who realistically don't have much chance of being involved in the future.

Oh 100% agree that there are loads of players who wont be in the squad bar this game... kind of silly especially when you consider the guys you really want to see play .. Armand, Robson, Rhodes, Graham etc. cant play..

To be fair most recent barbarians games have had some players involved who then disappeared into the ether regardless of how well they played (Earle for example)

Considering how overplayed our starters are I wouldn't be surprised to see next to none of them in this game

****... just remembered that only two sides will be unavailable for the BaaBaas game.

That should make it a little easier. That means that necessarily one of LCD, George or TT become available.
One of them goes straight in at 2, and probably a few others.

From an England POV, Chiefs and Sarries being knocked out would be nice.

Haha true, poor wadey.... hattrick, 1 cap and never seen in an England shirt again...

Assume that the guys who don't make then final will most likely bench due to previous game?

Gibson is the definition of good club player and that is all, Rugby jounro's are pretty crap on the whole hype up players who really shouldn't be hype up.

Give me a baabaas team of.
1. VPR, 2. 3. Schonert
4. Ribbans, 5. Williams
6. Ewers, 7 BOC, 8. Shields
9. Heinz, 10. Marshall
12. Te'o 13. Woodward
11. Solomona 14. 15. Marshall

Trying to think of a 2 and another wing though.

That's a weird team... you seem to be assuming that Tigers are going to be in the final, and that Chiefs aren't?

The state of rugby journalism... trying so hard to champion mediocre players. Journalistic hipsterism; a fetishisation of "the dark arts".

No mate, he's just decent at domestic level.
Brendan Gallagher is a nut,
He hates foreign born players playing for England, and constantly harps on about English players in France that he thinks should be playing (he is always on about Ashton)

BUT WHAT ABOUT FEARNS  HE IS PLAYING AMAZING IN FRANCE!!!!!

The guy who knew the rules and was returning before Eddie said he would need to work to get into the squad and turn coated.
As Rats says the majority of them are nuts on the whole the sane ones are the players who played in the pro era mostly. (Bar some exceptions)

Also find some who hype up young players way too much a bit annoying, 1 guy hasn't played in any of the age grade teams yet, but is going to be the next Itoje because he plays for Saracens...... Like I understand raising awareness of junior rugby and all but not every player is the next superstar.
