De Malmanche signs for Stade Français

Well, de Malmanche is actually New Zealand born with Welsh grandparents so if the name is French, it's probably more to do with French immigration to Wales. Regardless, there are thousands of French people who have immigrated to New Zealand.

Maybe, de Malmanche is a name from the west of France from the Charente region. Emigration to UK is not common but maybe the aristocrats during the French revolution.

Should have played for Wales and got 50+ caps instead of playing for NZ and getting 5 caps

Riiiight, because we don't have our own powerful scrummaging, strong carrying, suspect throwing hooker...... oh wait a minute we do!! Richard Hibbard sounds very similar, except his lineout throwing has been improving massively over the past season or two.

Some people need to realise that unwanted NZ players are not always better than our home grown players, although some of their cast-offs are pretty damn good!!
