The Rugby Paper are reporting that a British and Irish League will be on the cards in about 2 years when CVC start to pull the weight with their money.
The Telegraph have reported that the Premiership will oppose it.

I think it is a great idea, as long as it is done properly.

4 Welsh teams, 4 Irish teams, 3 Scottish teams, 16 English teams.
Proper salary caps in place, so that the English teams do not dominate.
Limits on non-British, so that the teams are not flooded with second rate internationals.

2 conferences Celtic, and Anglo

Eire Division, (the current 4 + London Irish), Alba Division, (3 Scottish, Cornish Pirates + London Scottish), Cymru Division, (current 4)
Anglo
North Division, (Newcastle, Sale, Leeds, Leicester, Doncaster), West Division, (Exeter, Bristol, Bath, Gloucester, Worcester), East Division, (Saracens, Harlequins, Wasps, Northampton)

Play an NFL style fixture list of 16 matches of 17 weeks, with conference play offs and then a Grand Final at one of the big stadia.

Less matches, but bigger ones and more on them as less to play catch up with, no matches over international weeks, so no issues with squad rotation and depth. Limit squads to 30 with a practice squad of 10. Academy players should be loaned out to Championship level clubs to get experience, a bit like 'farm' teams in baseball.

No chance. Can't see the English clubs and unions getting on. An Anglo Welsh league would be great for the Welsh fans but why would the English want to subsidise them?

The British and Irish rugby competition it will damage international rugby. Italy have no domestic competition or professional competition to playing . It will damage super Rugby was the South African government would have to intervene to put the kings in the professional rugby competition what cause problems with the other super Rugby nations when teams have been cut. If this competition wants to go ahead that should've been done in 1996.I can't see the English clubs popping up the other nations in the tournament I think the Irish would be the only other teams will do well out of this with the Welsh are delusional about their their competitions with England .

The world needs more professional rugby competitions to start Not reducing them. Keep the English premiership and pro 14 be separated.

Terrible idea Welsh clubs are basket cases financially & crowds are terrible
They bring nothing to the table

Once Gatland and Edwards depart post 2019 RWC
The foundations of Welsh Rugby are going to collapse like a sandcastle

Moreover we have a Euro Champions Cup & Euro Challenge Cup for a reason
We see Welsh sides get battered regularly & finish bottom of their pool enough times

Italian rugby gets screwed Not a fan of that at all
