I have been very pleased with Viljoen at outside half.
His restarts have been very good, caused the Bulls a bit of trouble at times.
Bosman should be back this week, I'd be tempted to bench him and start Lambie, to give him time and allow Meyer some time to recover properly.

And we have the first win for Griquas!!! A 4 try-bonus point to go with it!!! The Lions scored a try with 10 minutes to go and were only trailing by 3 points. A late try by Jean Stemmet (Yes, Draggsy, Stemmet scored) to deny the Lions a BP. Lions did get a BP for the 4 tries though.

Other tries were scored by Jannie Boshoff, Rocco Jansen, Ryno Barnes and Willie le Roux.

For the Lions there were 5-pointers by Volmink (2), Kriel and my fav. scrummie Ross Cronje!

Stemmet, christ, some Dragons fans were convinced he was going to be signed last year.
Good times. :)

Willie le Roux isn't your typical Saffa wing. Quite skillful, needs refining but he is a good one.

He plays as a full-back mostly. Only when he plays for the Cheetahs franchise, he is moved to the wing to accomodate Hennie "the tortoise" Daniller.

Yes, but who isn't? Even Conrad Jantjes is better.

Only 40 minutes left!!! Sharks-Cheetahs live on Sky Sports 4 so I don't have to go on a scavenger hunt to find a proper stream!

Just chucked a blind v$250 on this game, Blue Bulls I hope are doing alright.

There it is man! Just finished watching the Sharks-Cheetahs match. It was a real thriller. Some knock-ons from the Sharks who went all out attack but were trailing 21-6 at half time. 4 converted tries in the second half got them a 34-32 win with a bonus point! Cheetahs get 2 log points for the 4 tries and finishing within 7 points.

We've had 2 matches so far, 1 to go, and both losing teams scored 4 tries and 32 points. It says a lot about the excitement in the Currie Cup that, when there's dry weather, matches are unpredictable and fun to watch. 32 points not being enough for a win says something.

Now for WP-Blue Bulls... Will report on that later!

So disappointed with that match Eze :( Flipping hell really we should have won.

Sorry man, I know you support the Cheetahs. Both teams could have won it but you have to agree in the end Natal deserved the win. Too many errors prevented us from taking the lead earlier.

Agreed, they did deserve the win, we certainly didn't deserve to win it at the end we also made too many mistakes. Just frustrating to see the Cheetahs keep on doing this, we have a lot of potential but mistakes and our defense costs us games. What did you think about the ref?

The ref was just awful. Bad decisions going both ways though (just to be clear) but he needs to get a grip on things.

- Warning the Cheetahs 3(!) times with potential yellow cards for offside offenses at on defense
- Giving penalties for not rolling away when the player does everything in his power to do so but is stuck (both ways)
- Not paying attention at the scrums
- Several scuffles going unnoticed

We need some new talent, I agree, but what is wrong with the current referees (Jafta, Peyper, Rashivenge) and the knowledge of the law?

Stefan Breytenbach and Lourens van der Merwe are good talented referees though. They do understand and show a lot of potential. We have Mark Lawrence and Jonathan Kaplan who will retire shortly (especially Lawrence is an example for the other referees, he communicates better than anyone).

He did look a bit lost I agree, couldn't get a grip on the game at all, it looks like an inexperienced young ref is doing the WP vs Bulls game too, although I could be wrong.

That's Lourens van der Merwe, I don't think he is doing bad. He at least has the ability to keep the players straight and controls the game, like a ref should do.

37-6 already for WP... 4 converted tries, 3 penalties and BB looks devastated.

And another try, JP du Plessis this time... Conversion missed by the Greek. 42-6

Missed the Sharks second half. Good by the sound of it, I would have had a heart attack!
