It's even more surreal than that, ncurd is arguing with a Frenchman over whether Extras has an average!

Anyway, it's all very well talking about averages but real class is measured by scoring runs when it matters - in his 2000+ tests, when has Extras ever scored the big runs to hold an innings together, or change the momentum of the game?! Flat track bully

yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Broad giving the Aussies some stick....this time with his bat!!!

Another 50 run partnership with Ali leaving the Aussies needing some 600 runs in their second innings to leave England with just 200 to get!!!

Lovely declaration by cook.

Nice to see that attitude. It paid off too. Again the Aussie middle order crumble, this time against Stokes who got the ball swinging late. This attack has the priceless trait that when 1 bowler has an off day. Take after Edgbaston people were worried about Anderson missing, up steps Broad. This innings, when Broad wasn't as effective up steps Stokes. Its why the 2005 attack was so good. Expect Finn or Wood to make a mark tomorrow.

Great, great interview by Michael Clarke and announced his retirement!!

Well done Michael!

Well done England. Very interesting to see how dominant England were. Strangely the reverse of the last series when we all expected england to win and we flogged them and then spent the next eighteen months getting to the top of the rankings. Don't know what to make of it all tbh, but I think I'll just focus on the rugby for now [emoji38]

Well that was a terrible an uexpected series. Well done poms. Completely out played us.

People seemed to have forgotten how the Aussies got smashed by Pakistan in the UAE, different conditions but similar question marks about batting technique in particular. Also the Pakistanis showed how to play lyon by being patient and milking him for runs rather than trying to bash every ball out of the park, something England should take more note of.

And also don't forget the last time Oz was in SA when SA bowled them out for 39...

Okay so yesterday was the first ODI between South Africa and New Zealand. This was also the first time these 2 teams have met each other after their Semi-final match in the World Cup earlier when the Proteas was bundled out yet again.

Now before the match started there was a bit of controversy, after a lady posted a photo on social media. In this photo it shows the bowling tactics the Proteas would use against the Kiwi Batsmen:

This was meant for Dale Steyn, but he moved from hotel rooms, and this one was then accidentally put under the door of his old room.

Then in the match, Dale Steyn did exactly as they stated on the document and got rid of Kane Williamson as the document stated.

SA went on to win the match by 20 runs.

Yes, I heard the woman that posted this got so much hate on Facebook she deactivated her account. I don't know what she was thinking (if she thinking) though.

What did she expect would happen?? She has opened herself up to that. Dale Steyn is more important to South Africans than our own president.

Aim for 4th stump....wow the level of genius. ;)

TBH I don't see what the level of vitriol is about. Bowling is about attacking a batsman weakness it takes several balls for a plan to come together and a good batsman will work out what they are trying to do. More importantly a batsman isn't about to play better as their usual weakness takes months to years to fix (if they ever do).

Yeah. I know some call that 4th stump line the "corridor of uncertainty", which sounds some much better than 4th Stump. That is the area every fast bowler should bowl at, consistently.

3 centuries in a innings today by the Proteas, first time ive seen that in a ODI, AB is surley the best middle order batsmen in Odi's to have graced the game.

Really?

Did you miss the ODI earlier in the year prior to the World Cup against West Indies? AB, Hashim Amla and Rilee Rossouw:

But yesterday's performance was IMHO better than the one against the Windies. In that kind of temperature and humidity to keep on hitting like that was just awesome to see.

It was also the first time ever that SA has won an ODI series in India.

Well my bad I followed that game on cricinfo too, still only the second time it has occurred.

Can't believe Australia beat India in that last ODI... just insane
