Cricket 09 confirmed...

What would sell more? Cricket or rugby?

Meh anyway I would prefer Cricket 09 on 360 than the Wii. Hopefully it is multiplatform.

Wii is definitely the most likely unfortunately. HB Studios are such f**king amateurs when it comes to PS3 and 360 that it would absolutely not surprise me.

no this must be all platforms
the ashes is rumoured to be the selling point
to not have it on all 3 platforms would be a moment of inept
i cannot wait for this

awesome stuff.

Happy that this has been "confirmed" as that will should also mean that the rugby series isnt dead yet. Hopefully we hear something about that soon.

Cant wait to play cricket on the PS3 and/or the wii :)

Hopefully a decent cricket game on the 360 would be nice!

This does show that a rugby game is not dead yet!

I have scoured the internet since this was announced and have discovered that it is indeed classified as "multi-platform". So, unless it's Wii and DS, we have it coming to either Xbox 360 or PS3 or both!

me thinking Cricket on wii would be awesome, think about using the remote as the bat! and then using the remote to bowl... fantastic...

Anyone played Big Beach Sports cause there's cricket on that on the Wii, is that any good?

I can already see the big pile of smashed TVs as over-excited players let go of their weemotes...

If they do a good job and make the Wii versions controls realistic enough the Wii version could be pretty awesome.

Looking forward to see how the 360/PS3 versions turn out, man I hope they're good.

Exactly Chris, those straps they have will only be able to tolerate so much swing when people are trying to hit 99mph bowling.

TRF cricket world cup tournament is a must.[/b]

I regularly play cricket 07 with four or five mates. I'm currently kicking ass in a World Series playing as India. My wife Amy is playing as South Africa and my mate Andrew is New Zealand. They still have to play each other in their final pool game to decide who meets me in the finals series. The points standings are:

India (me): 32pts
New Zealand (Andrew): 6pts
South Africa (Amy): 5 pts

They've been playing it ever since it came out and are the best people I can play against. I'm so eager to play others in '09 and see if I can do as much damage online as I do on '07!

If we get enough people I'd make an official TRF Cricket 09 Twenty20 tournament and consider some goodies.
