Connacht prop Jamie Hagan has penned a new two-year contract deal with the Irish club, which will see him remain at the Sportsground until 2013.

The 23-year-old joined Connacht in 2009 from the Leinster academy and has appeared in 27 Magners League games and eleven Amlin Challenge Cup games for the side since then.

The 6' 3" 120kg tighthead prop has been a cornerstone of the Connacht scrum for the past season and a half.

"I've really enjoyed myself here at Connacht and I'm really looking forward to playing with the Province for the next two seasons," said Hagan.

"The set-up is very good here with all the facilities on-site and the coaches are very fair to work with, if you work hard you are rewarded."

he is going to be irelands best prop
hopefully he dosnt get ignored for staying out west

He's a very talented player. I hope he does brilliantly at Connacht, wins a few deserved caps and comes home to Leinster in 2013 to replace Mike Ross. Hagan is more than good enough to make the Ireland 3 shirt his own for the guts of a decade.
