well the drummer certainly looks good... ;) love the fiddle, 7/10.

had an emotional breakup this summer and this tune, especially the beginning, gets me more emotional (even if its a cliche):

Bitter semitones, but then it gets angry prodigy style - and up and down all over again. All the best, but what's next? 7/10.

The only disappointment I've had lately (they tend to pile up) is this obscure original: sounds alot like the all-time greatest song - guess what it is?

7/10. the solo reminds me a lot of a song i can't quite put my finger on... possibly the end section of hendrix's version of all along the watchtower. hotel california also comes to mind for the main part but i wouldn't call that the best song ever by a long stretch!

this will bring you back - absolute classic from when i was growing up.

The bass line goes up and down a short scale, doesn't vary at all. Sounds good for a bit, then it just goes on and on. Cute but no substance, so 4/10.

I saw a Simpsons episode years ago, where Bart says "one of those songs where they're really singing about Jesus". Got me thinking that alot of great love songs aren't what we think they are ...

Evidence:

Bof! Truly awful. I know you don't like lyrics - but that's just cheek-bulging vomit (my heart is community property). And the singer looks like the killer in Silence of the Lambs. Some nice female bods, so 2/10.

More god love - some say this is about heroin, but it's an epiphany:

8/10 lovely song It does strike me as a summer song for listening to with beers in the garden ..I like..alot

Heard this first in french class ...a very proper lady teacher wanted us to listen to french popular music ...she put this up on projector and cranked up the volume to the top....was pretty epic

heard it a few times before at parties, never bothered to listen to the lyrics till now. It's saying the same thing as Hard-Fi's Living for the Weekend but in a Frenchy house way. 8/10.

Major Lazer reworking Gyptian's Hold Yuh into a more clubby sound - I prefer it for a chill.

Zouk is our only medecine. If it doesn't make you you dance while on a beach drinking Ti'Punch there's something wrong with you....

I like it, but too long for something so low key. 7/10.

Strange funk from the 80s:
