This is good
The piano solo is one of my favorite piece of music ever...

10/10. Jazz is French, right?

For some reason people hate the Beatles. And for good reason everyone hates the ukulele. But put them together, and it's pretty good:

Very relaxing

10/10 easy. Reminds me of summer.

Another summer song - shortest single of all time:

OK, 6/10. Not tight, doesn't have much variety.

I thought Lady Gaga was europop hype until I saw this version of poker face (including "bluffin' with my muffin") - she can sing + good fun:

Is there much difference? Sounds good, but neither really goes anywhere, so 6/10. Kunta Kinte is the main character in Roots.

Here's one for you, Ginger - name two raps based on this rhythm (****, the answers are in the youtube comments!):

Here's a local Afrikaans band, who i really like:

'80s europop - but that's back in style. No idea what they're singing about. 6/10.

The original Irish tune for the Drunken Sailor (What shall we do with the drunken sailor? etc) - sung reggae style by a lesbian priest:

Oooh, dunno. Sounds kind of crap. 0/10.

Dennis Leary being American in an anti-American way:

<object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/JTVpxxzb2Dc?fs=1&amp;hl=en_GB"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/JTVpxxzb2Dc?fs=1&amp;hl=en_GB" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>

Leary certainly is an asshole, but that is quality

Proably good that it ended when it did. It's a classic line, but the music is kind of bleurgh. This is the same guy who did Stop the Cavalry. 4/10. Is Kirstie McColl one of the backing singers?

Was in the mood to do a youtube search for "funk" and came up with this - who knew it was allowed in Brezhnev's Russia?

determined not to look at the youtube comments for that, i'm guessing here but is one of them rappers' delight?

anyway, onto the soviet jazz... well i'd give it a 4/10 because that sort of jazz isn't to my tastes. but didn't expect it to come from sovietland!

going back up to uni soonish, back to the gaidhlig and i've posted her a few times before, but this woman has got a stunning voice. Julie Fowlis - Biodh An Deoch Seo 'N Làimh Mo Rùin

Clear voice, nice keepy-uppy rhythm. 7/10. My translation of that ***le is, Let this drink in my hand be my love. Sluuuurp!

The guy on her right, playing the mandolin, is the legendary Donal Lunny.

ps. Way out on the raps! And the soviet stuff is veeery good - Charles will explain about the drumming. I'm not into jazz, but I try to single out the bassline and the rest becomes clear.

Not my favourite rendition of Gershwin I'm afraid, a bit too classic-y for me...

This is good.

10/10, no problem. How did he get the name Baden Powell, is it a joke? Drummer looks retarded.

You didn't give your view on the soviet drummer a few posts up. Here's another drummer:
