Champions Cup 2024 / 25 - Round of 16

Felt like that entire half was played in Tigers 22
Warriors will be annoyed at the modest lead but it feels like the floodgates will open at some point, Tigers players must be bollocksed

Yeah, I agree - especially with how well they did before fatigue set in and the replacements became an issue

I didn't read the article but did see that McCall said in the press that because of where they are in the Prem table they were prioritising the premiership over it - guessing injuries and international rest meant they had to make a choice between focusing on last week or this week (resting players not an option for their home game at Spurs stadium) and chose last week to go full strength
The scheduling is a proper mess, it really needs a rethink but expecting the various bodies to cooperate over that is flying pig territory

Watching Leinster here, just at HT.

As dead a game as you'll ever see already and Quins D was so soft.

Only point of note is how much better Leinster are playing to Prendergast's skillset than Ireland did in the later 6n rounds. Whenever he was first receiver he had multiple options and often on both sides. Easier to do with gainline domination but it feeds into that domination. He was brought in on the second wave of attacks from pullback passes very well also. Ireland would do wellto follow suit.

We seem to have upped a gear since the 6n. Quite confident that we reach another final and hopefully the four in a row cycle switches back to winning then...

Yeah but what's the point in prioritising the premiership if all you do when you get a champions league spot is send your reserves?

I guess their thinking was if they lose away vs Tigers that's their playoff hopes are done - they'll be thinking about winning the Prem rather than getting champions cup rugby

My guess is they planned on resting players vs Tigers and going full force in Europe but then they lost the Big Game vs Quins so needed to get one back in the Prem

The increased revenue from Champions Cup games helps, but there isn't the depth in Premiership squads these days to go toe to toe with the top European sides

We Are Warriors! 👊

Yeah that's a proper scumbag move, should be a long ban
To be fair during the whole match it seemed like both Fagerson brothers were acting like complete prats.

I remember the referee telling them to stop celebrating scrum penalties in the way they were, ruffling the head of the opposite front row etc.

This is highly entertaining. Ulster don't have anywhere near the beef required but they're taking the game to UBB.

Will be at least 40 points for UBB but hopefully the 1st half remains competitive.

Joey Carbery getting smashed by Stockdale, who's going great, too.

Not sure why if Pearce allows Treadwell to compete he didn't give the penalty for holding on, clear lift,

Bordeaux get across the pitch so quickly,
