I'm far more annoyed that a team with 15 internationals in the starting XV and a further 4 on the bench capitulated and didn't show any bottle. It was a dead rubber in that Leinster couldn't get out of the group but surely these players would have wanted to avenge the humiliating defeat against Wasps in Dublin. Leinster were deservedly eviscerated.
This is a test of leadership for Leo Cullen. Does he give his team a free pass because there was nothing to play for or does he send out a message that such performances wont be tolerated? Some big name players deserve to be dropped. Guys like James Tracy, Ross Molony, Josh van der Flier, Luke McGrath and Garry Ringrose have shown that they can step into the team and deliver.
The above criticism doesn't apply to Dave Kearney. He showed a real willingness to get stuck in today and is to be commended when virtually all around him folded.
