Challenge Cup 20/21 - Quarter Finals

Case for Borthwick for coach of the year. I'm basing that on how big a turn around there has been in Leicester since last year. He's done an amazing job.

Quins turnaround has been ridiculous as well, tbf

But they don't have a Head coach

Considering the side he's bought, I'm not sure how I'd feel about that
Shouldn't really affect this season etc but his time at Connacht does at least show that he doesn't need the cheque book to win.

Interesting one, I thought the same but tbf whilst he has undoubtably bought a lot of talent he does seem to have got the most out of some originally lesser known players too, interesting to see how he can keep hold of O'Connor, Sheedy et al, they will certainly be demanding more.

Interesting Brace reffed a lot of recent Lar games, think it's slightly unfair for a team to be allowed to build a bit of a rapport and better understand their referring interpretations over a concentrated period, with that said they are getting penalised so far so perhaps they haven't made the most of it.

Aye, he's definitely a good coach, but a side containing the likes of Afoa, Sinckler, Luatua, Hughes, Leiua, Piutau, Piutau, Earl, Radradra etc. should be expected to play well and play in this style

I love how salty you are towards anything Bris/Pat Lam. :p

Lets be real, everyone said Afoa was past it (he's what, about 38 now?), Leiua was out of favour everywhere, you and others bashed Hughes continuously also saying he's done, etc etc. Semi and Charles as the marquees I'll give you though. Hardly as if Bristol has a larger number of big names than other premiership sides.

Point is that Bristol have risen from a decade of hard times in the second tier and have had to transform, shrug off an unrivalled amount of baggage and create a whole new culture from scratch. Not to mention the largely wonderful rugby. It's an incredible achievement so far and there should be more to come.

Borthwick has indeed done a great job so far though, next season should give an even bigger indication of progress and intent.

Just on my point, but think how bad Leicester were last season. If Sarries hadn't got the second 70 point deduction they would have actually finished above Leicester. Now they are challenging top 6 again and into challenge cup semi's.

The irony of giving a scrum to try and speed up the game.

Another card here. Players should know if they give away a penalty try they will get carded too.
