Carter vs Beale

That is a bit harsh, he would have got into the squad just maybe not the 22. Robbie Deans knows he is s player for the future. Beale was impressive during his time in the Super14 final against the Crusaders.

Yet who is to say he won't implode like he has done, he is too inexperienced and there are far better candidates for flyhalf.

Like whom? How does an inexperienced player become experienced on the international stage? Look at Matt Giteau, I think he came on during the World Cup final in 2003 having a lack of experience but learned from it and look at him now, he is one of the best rugby players in the world. When Beale is fit he should be in the squad and during some of the "easier" matches I would like to see him on the bench and brought on with about 20 minutes to go. The backline of Beale, Giteau and Mortlock would be fantastic to watch.

I have to agree with BLR on this one. Beale might have some great raw talent but he still needs another S14 season at least to iron out the bugs

Anyone see Halangahu play for Aust A against Fiji?

I think Beale is probably only the fourth best flyhalf in the country.

Giteau and Barnes are miles ahead of him, and I prefer Quade Cooper.

carter v beale? u could erase beales name, put any other 1st 5 in the world in its place and carter would still be the best.

Sorry but what does anyone see in Beale? hes a dreadful goal kicker, bad kicker out of hand, fat and always throws forward passes. If he's one of the best Australia have then their in big trouble. There's only one winner in this duel, everytime Carter.

yeah I would agree with you. I think Giteau is the best fly-half in Australia and Beale is not good enough. They say Berrick Barnes is world class but I think fly-half also suits him. The reason why he plays 12 is because he plays centre for the reds and giteau plays fly half for the force

Berrick switched to inside C midway through the season because the Wallabies needed him there and he wasn't going to get the 10 jumper ahead of Gits

I think it had more to do with the fact that they needed to accommodate for Quade Cooper, especially after losing Siale for the season.
