Canada Squad for November Tests.

OUTSTANDING news for Canadian rugby fans TSN will be broadcasting both the Samoa and Russia tests on national TV!!!!!!!

The Canada vs. Samoa game will be shown live at 3 p.m. EST and also rebroadcast at 8:30 pm. EST.

Unfortunately Canada vs. Russia will only be shown on delay at 8 p.m. EST.(as of now) so I'll see about a stream if it's live or maybe just avoid the scoreboards for 4-5 hours.

Absolutely stellar news!!! The delay for russia won't be a big deal, I'll just avoid my computer until late in the day. I'm just stoked, well done RC. I'm sure the no hockey thing helped them ink this deal but even still this is great news. I can't remember when I was able to see Canada play on domestic television when they were playing overseas. I really hope we do well against Samoa so that we can maintain some viewers for the Russia game

I think the last time( not counting the Sportsnet World Premium channel,) that I saw a Canadian away game broadcasted on basic cable was when the Score showed the New Zealand test in 2007. All others have been either streams or on Sportsnet World, the worst was the Georgia game where the Georgian Union didn't properly clear the proxies on their net, so Canadian fans had to hit refresh on their browsers every 5 minutes to watch the game LOL.

All the streams from the Canada matches in June were awful. The camerawork at the USA match was awful, it missed the USA's first try plus the commentary was also dreadful, whilst the Georgia match had better camerawork the stream missed the first 10 minutes of the match (and a very good DTH van der Merwe try) and the commentary was dreadful.

The coverage of the Italy match which was on TV though was much better, the commentators were at least knowledgeable enough to know who the players were and make interesting remarks on them and what they were doing.

Great news for Canada getting these matches on TV, I wonder who will be the host broadcaster?

I reckon if S4C don't want these matches, then the IRB will be the host broadcaster. The IRB did the broadcasting for the Fiji vs Scotland match in June, and also they normally do the host broadcasting for the Pacific Nations Cup.

And like the PNC, this is an IRB sponsored tournament (although it's not really a tournament) and they may be doing that here.

Oh and by the way, Taylor Paris played 80 minutes for Glasgow against the Dragons in their 37-6 win, his first start for them.

I've never seen worse camerawork ever!!!! Parts of it were simply unwatchable and the commentary team was too busy talking about their golf games to notice a yellow card. At least the 2nd game we could follow the action well, although the play by play was weak(more so the player names, the analysis was generally not that bad)

I'm going to watch Canada v. Tonga tonight as a warm up for next weekends game against Samoa. :0) Its going to be a big ask for the boys but I'm still very excited about this tour. Especially since I'm going to get to watch them on TV )

Forgot to add this in the other day, but Eric Wilson was indeed confirmed as the replacement for Phil Mack.

Apparently Jebb Sinclair is having a hard time getting his Visa from the UK, he was supposed to leave South Africa on Friday, but is still stuck there until at least tommorow, looking very unlikely he'll start at this point and he might even miss the game entirely, thankfully we have some depth to put in his place but it's still a blow.

Unfortunate about Sinclair. Considering we're already missing Cudmore and DTH, our top three players will likely be out of the lineup. Knowing that Sinclair was likely to miss the match, we should have brought Pierce over from Clermont!

Sinclair's "big game" experience will also be missed, I think his experience of winning the Currie Cup with an underdog WP side would have been invaluable to the Canadian side going up against Samoa. I hope he can at least make Russia or the Maori game. I wonder who dropped the ball on the visa situation seems like something London Irish should have helped him sort out knowing he was returning after the Currie Cup season. Odd that he can't just go to the UK on his passport and play for Canada, though I'm not privy to UK immigration and border rules.

Jebb Sinclair has finally arrived in the UK and will be available for the next two games of the tour, Jebb has stated on twitter that this was not Rugby Canada's fault(which I didn't think it was). The papers were sent in on time, looks like it was either an error on Jebb's part or London Irish not providing enough assistance.

Or possibly his agent's fault?

Quite possible...something I hadn't considered. I don't think he would have made a huge difference last night, he certainly would have performed better than Phelan but Canada were so ghastly in the first 20 at best he would have had a 2-3 point impact on the scoreline.

Matt Evans has left the Canadian team it looks like for the rest of the November tour. I'm guessing Blevins or Hassler will therefore have to get the start against Russia.

Sean White has returned home with a hand injury and Matt Evans did indeed leave the squad with a quad injury. Jebb Sinclair and Phil Mack have joined the team though so it isn't all bad news looking ahead to Russia.
