Brumbies: Matt Toomua, Henry Speight, Andrew Smith, Christian Lealiifano, Adam Ashley-Cooper, Matt Giteau (capt), Josh Valentine, Ita Vaea, Julian Salvi, Peter Kimlin, Mark Chisholm, Ben Hand, Salesi Ma'afu, Huia Edmonds, Ben Alexander.
Reserves (from): Anthony Hegarty, Dan Palmer, Colby Faingaa, Michael Hooper, Patrick Phibbs, Tyrone Smith, Francis Fainifo, Pat McCabe.

Hurricanes: Cory Jane/Andre Taylor, Taylor/Alapati Leiua, Conrad Smith, Ma'a Nonu, Hosea Gear, Aaron Cruden, Tyson Keats, Victor Vito, Serge Lilo, Jack Lam, Jason Eaton, Jeremy Thrush, Neemia Tialata, Andrew Hore (captain), John Schwalger. Reserves: Dane Coles, Michael Bent, James Broadhurst, Faifili Levave, Chris Eaton, Daniel Kirkpatrick, Charlie Ngatai.

An unchanged starting lineup for the Brumbies. I still think Dan Palmer is a better option than Ma'afu at tighthead prop, though Ma'afu had a solid game last week. Pat McCabe is back this week, and will take his place on the bench if he passes a fitness test. They will be really happy to have him back, as he was probably their form back before he got injured. It will be interesting to see how the Brumbies three playmakers (Toomua, Giteau, and Lealiifano) play this week. Despite being named at fullback Toomua played almost exclusively at first receiver with Giteau outside him, while Lealiifano played almost exclusively at fullback. I expect when McCabe gets back to full-fitness we will see Toomua at 10, Giteau at 12 with McCabe at fullback.

A few changes in the Canes backline, with Keats, Cruden, and Taylor coming in for Eaton, Kirkpatrick and Savea. I know many people will be happy to see Cruden back! I'm happy to see Taylor back in the starting lineup (and more importantly Savea not playing, so he can go back to the training field to learn how to catch/tackle...). Jane could also be out, as his wife is expecting a baby - if so Taylor will move to fullback, and Leiua will start on the wing.

Have to think the Brumbies will be favourites for the game (largely due to their home ground advantage) - I'm picking them to win a close game by about 7 points...

Niether of these teams are setting the world on fire at the moment so it's really a must win game for both teams... I'm picking the Hurricanes to take it out... ...just.

They do play home so I think the Brumbies will get that advantage
