British and Irish Lions v Argentina

Team announcement today. Not sure what to expect, presuming Farrell won't pick Prem finalists unless he really needs one on the bench

Still some unsold tickets. Pricing is higher than for a 6N Ireland game. Still, if you want to shell out €190 for this non-event that’s up to you.

This game does make itself very easy to fall out of love with at times.

I mean under 100 tickets left isn’t exactly terrible

Lansdowne gets criticism for bad atmosphere and it's justified if still very overstated but fully expect this to be terrible.

Not going to this (will prob watch on replay tbh) but I expect there'll be a more electric atmosphere at the next sporting event I attend in Ireland which is the Open Championship.

Solid side,
Lions -18pts feels generous considering how little they've trained, and players flitting in/out of camp - Argentina are no pushovers these days, even if it is their first game of the season

Then again I'll probably end up eating those words as I remember the Barbarians game not being a walkover in Hong Kong and Lions won by about 50pts

I feel the difference is these players have played with each other and the conditions won’t be tropical as ****

It's ideal pub time

Nope and it’s a small stadium so was always going to get the bums on seats. My point was really around the pricing - there are enough people about who can afford inflated prices, but excessive pricing probably only helps cement the traditional supporter base rather than open up new ones.

Still if your marketing strategy is “if they’re daft enough to pay it” and it works why change?
