Bristol have signed Samoan international winger Fautua Otto, Otto has represented Samoa at 7's and 15's, and scored a try against England in November at Twickenham.

Otto is currently in the Samoa squad, as a reserve back, and although he is unlikely to oust Alesana Tuilagi, David Lemi or Sailosi Tagicakibau (if he's available) for a starting place in the Samoan side, it is a high possibility he will travel to New Zealand.

Otto is Bristol's seventh signing for next season after Jake Caulfield (London Irish academy), Tristan Roberts (Doncaster), Tom Slater (Cardiff Blues), Louis Silver (Worcester), Matt Williams (Doncaster) and Rhys Lawrence (Scarlets).

Bristol have had a very high turnover of players over the last couple of seasons and suffered for it on the pitch last season where they struggled despite winning the British & Irish Cup.

Great news for Fautua Otto and for Manu Samoa. Exposure like this to top flight rugby may give him the tools eventually to become a starter for Samoa in the future.

Not sure that Bristol is top flight rugby at the moment. Really hoping that Otto will help us get back there. Looking forward to seeing him in the blue and white hoops.

It is top flight rugby for a Samoan playing his first professional contract at a well known English club. Hopefully it will give him good exposure and the experiance that he can use to flourish for Samoa.
