Brett signs deal in Japan

On Wednesday Blues fly-half Stephen Brett confirmed he will be joining the Toyota Verblitz rugby club in Japan.

No real surprise in this announcement: he was never going to make it into the AB's, so taking the money in Japan was probably a good choice for him. His lack of consistency meant he really never delivered on the promise he has shown; he still has the skills to tear the opposition apart at times, but for every good thing he does he generally makes a couple of basic errors.

I've said from day one we should have got Slade when he and Brett left the crusaders. Stoked hes leaving I hate watching in horror as he does things that cost us games. Plus he cant tackle for ****
