The Reds shocked the Blues in Albany beating them by 24 points to 31 in a match that was stopped for almost an hour due to a fault in the supply of electricity to the lighting.

The Reds scored four tries to seal the bonus point and probably ended the Blues play off hopes although they did pick up a losing bonus point after Jimmy Gopperth scored and converted a try after the hooter.
More to follow.

Great performance by the Reds and well deserved 5-pointer for them, Blues did well to get their 4th try and ending up loosing with 7 or less points to get 2 bonus points

They did suck...Lucky Hurricanes owned Brumbies or New Zealand would be really gutted.

Churr NZ teams had a shocker of a round, good on yah 'Canes

Whats with the rumours about hugh mcmenimum and digby ioane leaving.
the least hugh could do is payback the club with a bit of loyalty that was shown to him while he was injured for so long.
And digby has shown in the past loyalty doesnt mean much to him either.....but we'd still take him back at the force if he wants! :p

I just realised where the Brumbies' forwards went last night... they were obviously helping out the Reds!

Now, to return the favour... could we please borrow Digby Ioane for a few games? Thanks!

:cryy:

May I just say that even if Ioane left the Reds, it wouldn't be the end of them, sure they haven't had the best run over the last few years, but that's just the way Rugby is. At one point your team is the best, then it drops off, then eventually new players step up to the plate, you're only a true supporter if you support your team through the crap times and through the good times.
And teams are generally only as good as their supporters, if the Reds get good support, they get more people coming to games, they make more money, the club can afford better players, or to offer genuine Queensland talent good offers to get them to come to the Reds rather than push off to WA or ACT or NSW.
